Trauma Center 2 DS Demo on Nintendo Wii Channel

Atlus announced today that the demo for Trauma Center’s sequel for the Nintendo DS is available for download for Wii owners through the intend Channel. The follow up for the smash medical hit is called Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2.
You can try out the demo to decide whether you would like to buy Under the Knife 2 which is already available in the markets today. The full version features new operations and a couple of enhancements like new difficulty levels.

Just like the first Trauma Center, Under the Knife 2 is addictive. You will be fighting against fictional diseases that are spread by bioterrorism. Gameplay is still the same as the original. Before every operation, you’ll be given a patient briefing and objectives by your assistant. Then a five minute time limit will be shown and the patient’s life will be in your hands.
Operations will start from the outside going in. You have to make accurate incisions with your scalpel, remove foreign objects with the forceps and coat the wounds with antibacterial gel. That sounds simple isn’t it? But with the fast pace of action, the difficulty is to do several things simultaneously.
The only flaw I see with Under the Knife 2 is its content. It only has 38 operations that would take a few minutes to accomplish. Although you can’t complete it in a single run, but even with failed attempts you can complete the game in about 15 hours. A bonus of finishing the game is the unlocking of confidential operations. Although these operations are uber hard to accomplish and those who didn’t try playing on the hard setting will be unprepared for the challenge.
A saving grace of the game is its replay value. The ranking system encourages you to play the game again to increase you’re your score. Overall, Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 is a great medical action game that has an addictive gameplay that can give you lots of fun game time.
