Skate It or Not

EA is coming up with a skateboarding game for the Nintendo Wii and DS. Skate It is said to be a spin off of the Skate games that were released for the PS 3 and Xbox 360. The developers felt that a direct port of the game to the Nintendo consoles is not possible because of Nintendo’s unique control systems.
For the Wii console, the game will use the combination of the Wii remote and the Wii Balance Board so that players can create their own skating style. Though there are reports that the board can’t be used in pulling tricks. I think the developers should think of a way to utilize the board in doing some tricks to maximize it and make the game more instinctive.
As for the DS, you control the game using the stylus. You can flip and do all sorts of stunt with your skateboard with just a flick of your DS stylus. Will this control scheme beat “Activision’s secret next gen technology not seen on the DS yet”? Activision still has its innovation under wraps. I just hope, for the sake of the Tony Hawk franchise, that their innovation is truly amazing or else they should already concede the skating throne to EA.
I’ve always been a fan of the Tony Hawk games but when Skate was released for the PS3, I found myself actually enjoying the game. With the impending release of Skate It for the Nintendo consoles, Skate franchise will be the title to beat among skateboarding games. Don’t take my word for it, skate it and find out what the buzz is all about.

By Anthony,
The first skating game I bought was Tony Hawks Underground 2 after that I bought TonyHawks American Wasteland. And I wasn’t realizing that I was playing bad skateboarding experience until I saw Skate with a Ps3 at Best Buy that was already on. So I gripped the controller and started playing. I was having soo much fun I couldn’t stop. So know I should thank EA for such amazing skating experience I think they should earn a crown for the best games on earth!
They do deserve that crown.
