Mario Kart Wii still lords it over at Amazon’s software chart this week edging out GTA IV for the number one spot. Amazon’s videogame game chart includes hardware and gaming peripherals but here is a listing of the top ten games as of this writing:

1. Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel by Nintendo (Wii)
2. Grand Theft Auto IV by Rockstar (Xbox 360)
3. Grand Theft Auto IV by Rockstar (PS3)
4. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures by Eidos (PC)
5. Ninja Gaiden 2 by Tecmo/Team Ninja (Xbox 360)
6. Wii Play with Wii Remote by Nintendo (Wii)
7. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Bundle by Activision (Wii)
8. We Ski by Namco (Wii)
9. Boom Blox by EA (Wii)
10. Wii Fit by Nintendo (Wii)

By the looks of things, Wii is still dominating the console wars with six out of the ten bestselling games are for the Wii.

There is also much talk about the effects of GTA IV on children. Some say that the game causes kids to be violent. I guess they haven’t read the article below yet.
