Developers focus on the Wii and leave the XBOX, PS3 out in the cold

Yes, Hell has officially frozen over. Nintendo is now on top of the home console business, Sonic Stars in Super Smash Bros Brawl with Mario, Microsoft lost 6 billion, and Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world.

The Wii and the Nintendo DS keep selling like hotcakes. And with Nintendo’s success, third parties are dropping off once exclusive titles for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 to focus on more games for the Wii. One such exclusive game that has recently been canceled for the PS3 and now is a Wii exclusive is Monster Hunter 3. Monster Hunter 3 is a multiplayer online RPG where you play as a hunter traveling through vast rich forests teeming with life, all waiting to be killed. A title from a franchise that moved a couple of Million PSP’s off the shelves just a few months ago.

Here’s some games to look forward to for our favorite little waggle wonder:

Mario Kart Wii

Due out early 2008, it features 12 player online racing, and new vehicles like bikes and buggies, all with the superb gameplay we’ve come to expect from the series.

Super Mario Galaxy

The “true” sequel to Nintendo’s critically acclaimed N64 best seller, Mario 64. Now with revolutionary gesture based control, coming November 12.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl New characters, new moves and new arenas. Guest stars Solid Snake and Sonic the hedgehog! Now all they need is for Capcom to chip in with Megaman. Coming January 4 2008.
