Bike Games to Play
A friend asked me to recommend bike games to play on the Nintendo Wii. I could only think of one game and that is Dave Mirra BMX Challenge.
There might be some obscure bike games released which stayed under the radar but as far as I’m concerned Dave Mirra BMX Challenge is the only bike game for the Wii. And this game is not even worth wasting your time on. I got my copy of it from the bargain bin.
DM BMX Challenge is based on the PSP game of the same title. The game seems like it was directly ported from the PSP as it still has the atrocious graphics, non-existent game physics and confusing track designs.
The graphics are uninspired with lots of blurry textures that make the gaming dull. Tricks and character animations are boring. One saving grace on the graphics part is that you can customize your character. Other than that, it feels like a handheld game.
The soundtrack is terrible. It’s repetitive ad somewhat irritating. Same goes with the sound effects. It doesn’t bring anything to the game.
Biking is fun. I spent half of my life riding the bike, going down steep slopes at full speed and jumping obstacles. It’s the thrill of the ride. Dave Mirra BMX Challenge does not provide that. Inspiring, authentic and fun… these three words should not be used in the same sentence with DM BMX Challenge.
So do you know any other bike games to play on the Wii?
