Tasty Gaming Cakes

My aunt makes the most delicious cakes in the world. But presentation-wise, her cakes are dull. Maybe these cakes I found on the net can inspire her to create one in the future. Here are the top six cake designs in random order.
Wii Remote
Flickr user Jenguin made this cake with fondant. Maybe she can improve on the scale the next time.

More cakes after the jump.
NES Console
From Kotaku:
The cake is yellow, the controller is two Hershey bars with nougat between them, connected to the cake by black licorice, and the whole thing is that hard-sugar frosting.
My sweet tooth is yearning for a bite.
DS Fruitcake
Paddy, a blogger from the UK had this DS cake made for her mother’s birthday. The base is a fruitcake while the lid is made of sugar. The black coloring is made with food paste. It might not look good because of its coloring but the baker said that it has lots of marzipan underneath. Great concept!

Guitar Hero
Not Charming (yup that’s her Flickr ID) has a tutorial on how she made this Guitar Hero cake here. The photos are self explanatory and I think this is a great birthday present for a GH addict.

Tetris Cake
Not much is known about this cake except it is shaped like Tetris. I find it odd for a wedding cake with the groom and the bride figurines separated. May bea&txm can shed some light on this one.

Super Mario
Finally, we have a Mario cake. Nintendo Nonstop lists would not be complete without Mario. Su-Yin of CookingIsMyPassion sculpted this cake for a friend’s birthday. Great work!
