This must be mod week. After writing about that great NES controller/coffee table project, this time I’m bringing you a NES System built into its own game cart.

French retro-modder Kotami made this mode with a Super Mario Bros cart. He took out what’s inside the cart and replaced it with a NES on a Chip (NOAC).

It is a fully functional NES system. It got power and reset buttons, 2 joystick ports, and an audio/video output slot.

This would make a nice gift for an old gamer. I still have my NES game carts somewhere hidden in my room. Maybe one of these days I’ll make this a project and share with you the results.
