A house built of Gameboy bricks?

Thinking of a theme for your dream house? How about the well-loved Gameboy of the 90’s? Hey, stranger things have happened. A Dutch guy named Gijs Gieskes has taken Nintendo fanboyhood to the extreme. Behold, the Gameboy house bricks:

Who could forget these sturdy little creatures? Over 118.69 million units sold worldwide since 1989 and making the game Tetris a household name. Quite a feat. I remember being addicted to it waaay back then. As you can see, Gijs made several color variants to choose from. Can you picture it now? All that’s needed is a life-size Super Mario statue for the front lawn and you’re good to go!

This is his garden, I imagine, where he first used the bricks on the ground. Looks solid.

If you’re interested in getting some for yourself, check out his website here. Personally, I’m hoping someone makes DS Lite bathroom tiles and mushroom light switches. Hmmm…
