How to spice up your sex life

jap bikini girlA survey conducted by a UK video game rental company, Gametart, has apparently obtained conclusive proof, that female gamers have sex 1.1 times more a week than other non-gaming women.

I can see it now: hoards of fanboys asking their girlfriends to try the Wii, or buying them a cute little pink DS Lite for Christmas. Start with The SIMS, maybe. Or Mario Galaxy. After a while, gift-giving will involve sexy Princess Zelda outfits and other kinky toys. Ah, what can I say? Boys will be boys will be boys.

So there you have it. Gamers get it more than non-gamers, so start playing video games!

New DS Lite Update: Here comes the next evolution

Nintendo, in a move that surprised no one, has once again seen it fit to redesign its top selling handheld system the Nintendo DS. The newest design according to sources, would not include the Gameboy port available with its previous iterations, and instead sport a slimmer profile with a bigger screen. This would mirror a design direction with Nintendo’s old Gameboy line with it’s Gameboy Advance Micro when it was designed without backward compatibility.

Super Mario Galaxy: Walk Through Space with Mario

box_115741.jpgThe most awaited game of the season has been released, and yes, I need a copy!

Unfortunately now that I’ve quit my dreary office job to escape my dictator boss, I’m finding it somewhat difficult to get the game as I’m short of a little thing called “money”. You see, money is what people use to exchange goods and services. Hmm… but there are always friends, and pirates! *evil laugh*

Anyway, the game is a lot like the N64 classic Mario 64 where you collect stars to progress through the game, and it also incorporates elements from Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES which used suits to give Mario certain abilities (like a Bee suit to buzz around in). Did I mention that the graphics are excellent? This game is as much as a Wii technical marvel as it an excellent gameplay experience.

          Dementium: The Ward

If you have a thing for the downright spooky, take a look at these. One of the “first” original DS survival horror titles, (I’m not counting Resident Evil 1, though it would be nice if they ported the rest of the series) Dementium: The Ward is about little girls and evil inside out zombies:

Pearly White PS2: Yet Another Mac Clone

              1762666007_7418cc87ee.jpg

In a move that can be filed under the “who do they think they’re fooling” category, Sony has once again redesigned their old PS2 console, this time to resemble Nintendo’s Wii. Since Apple made white fashionable, everybody’s been redesigning their products to jump into the bandwagon. PlayStation 2 is the latest to succumb to the trend, but it will definitely not be the last. Packaged with more accessories than their previous SKU’s it targets the ignorant casual consumer who Sony hopes will mistake the old console for Nintendo’s machine.

                Mario and Luigi playing mini-golf

                mario_luigi_golf.jpg

The Mario Brothers are at it again, and this time they’re putting fun into golf. Yup, golf. Just when you thought it was all boring like your grandpa’s pipe, they come along and make you wish you were as sharp as Tiger Woods.

Gaming icon ATARI finally closing down

                  atari1.jpg atari_logo.jpg

Not quite the company that started the video game industry (that old Atari was split in two), but it’s still dissapointing. The Atari responsible for the Jaguar - a “64-bit console” or so they say - has finally closed its doors and follows midway into the great big videogame arcade in the sky.

                    Nintendo Miyamoto 54!

The famous Nintendo game designer is now 54 years old, and to commemorate the occasion he had this to say,

“Don’t movie directors usually make films until they die? Annually, I don’t make that much money. So I don’t think I can retire.”

So there you have it folks! More Mario games for at least another half-century, the Japanese are of course near-immortals with their hundred year life-spans, so we can expect Mr. Miyamoto to keep making games till he’s 120. The real news however is that judging from his statement he isn’t filthy rich.
